Esses são alguns dos resultados da pesquisa “Eleições 2022 na Amazônia”, que ouviu eleitoras e eleitores nos 9 estados da Amazônia Legal para entender as opiniões, críticas e desejos da população votante na Amazônia no pleito eleitoral de 2022.
A pesquisa, realizada pelo Instituto Action, é um levantamento inédito sobre o eleitorado desta parte do Brasil, que representa 59% da extensão territorial do país. Assunto frequente em debates políticos e internacionais, a Amazônia carece de espaços em que as vozes de seus povos sejam expressas.
84,5%, maioria expressiva dos entrevistados, concordam que a conservação da Amazônia deve fazer parte do plano de governo dos candidatos à Presidência nas eleições de 2022. Quase 80% acredita que o Brasil deve ter leis mais severas contra o desmatamento.
